A decades-long breeding project resulting in a hybrid cross with the wild species S. berthaultti that exhibits sticky hairs on the leaves that repel and trap insects such as leafhoppers, aphids and Colorado Potato Beetles. This is not GMO or genetic engineering, but classical breeding. Mostly round tubers have white skin and white flesh. Culinary qualities are quite good; these spuds can be used in many ways. King Harry has a much improved flavor over its predecessor, Prince Hairy. Resistant to golden nematode, Potato virus Y and pink rot; susceptible to common scab; may exhibit hollow heart. Tall upright plants with white flowers. Organic Seed.
