Deep Till Radish
One of the brassica family, forage or daikon radish is becoming popular as a cover crop, primarily for its ability to break up hardpan and improve water infiltration with its large roots. With rapid fall growth, the radish plant is excellent at scavenging nitrogen and releasing it quickly in the spring upon decomposition. Quick emergence and fast ground cover helps smother weeds. Will winterkill below 25˚F. Seed at 15-20#/acre or ½#/1000 sq. ft. Organic.
